Learn some techniques and approaches to exploring portrait art using drawing media and acrylic paints, with options for creative layering incorporating mixed media and materials. Get to know some key proportions to capturing a subject’s features, some observational skills to strengthen your work, and some creative and inspiring angles from which to use the human face as a jumping off point from which to venture into creative visual expression. Some previous drawing or painting experience is recommended, though not required.
